AV Production Manager

Time-limited, soft-funded position at the University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning, housed in one of the nation’s elite public research universities. The Center’s mission is to improve the quality of teaching, learning, and childcare by researching, developing, and scaling educational innovations that put all learners on trajectories for lifelong success.

About the role

The Producer III oversees video production for internal and external clients, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and schedule goals. Responsibilities span project management, production, post-production, team supervision, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee organization and development of video production for clients.
• Set and maintain production schedules, records, and budgets to keep projects on track.
• Advise clients on best practices in production and implement those practices.
• Determine production methods and lead in-house production team in studio and on location.
• Direct multi-camera shoots, lighting setups (studio/location/live), and simultaneous audio capture.
• Facilitate post-production, coordinate graphic design templates, and collaborate with clients to approve and deliver multimedia resources.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members, delegate tasks, monitor performance, and conduct regular evaluations.
• Develop new techniques, systems, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Offer creative solutions to produce high-quality, engaging digital content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional demeanor with outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment while delivering superior customer service.

Skills

• Hands-on experience with 4K video production, multi-camera shoots, studio/location lighting, and multi-microphone audio capture.
• Proficiency in editing software: DaVinci, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro.
• Proficiency in design software: Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Proficiency in animation software: After Effects.
• Experience leading a production team in the field.

$80,000–$85,000
