AV Installation Technician

About the role

Synergy Integrated Systems is hiring a Low-Voltage Installation Technician to join the Raleigh field team, installing AV, lighting, networking, and security systems that make clients' homes and businesses run smarter. The position is based at 8321 Bandford Way Suite 003, Raleigh, NC 27615, with projects in the surrounding area. The role reports to Matthew, Lead Installer & Manager, and aligns with the company's core values of Integrity, Efficiency, Enthusiasm, Excellence, and Accountability.

Responsibilities

• Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron)
• Install and mount TVs, projection systems, video walls, audio, shading, low-voltage lighting, and security devices
• Build and lace equipment racks
• Setup and configuration of devices
• Connect and bring control systems to life (Control4 a plus!)
• Understanding and setup of networks
• Troubleshooting of devices

Requirements

• Experience on construction sites
• Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools
• Steady work history (3 years between hops)
• Pleasant disposition, high EQ
• Trustworthy, hungry to learn and grow, hands‑on, technically inclined, curious how things work

Skills

• Low-voltage cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron)
• AV equipment installation (TVs, projection, audio, shading, lighting)
• Network setup and configuration
• Control system integration (Control4 experience a plus)
• Equipment rack building and lacing
• Troubleshooting and diagnostics

Pay

$55,000 – $75,000 per year

Schedule

Full Time (40 hrs/Wk) – four 10‑hour days, Monday‑Thursday, 7:45 am – 6:15 pm
