About the Role
Provide on-premises audio visual and meeting support for an established multi-channel retailer company. This role ensures meeting and conference spaces are set up to meet customer event needs, performs preventative maintenance, and assists users with in-room equipment.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate room sweeps and walk-throughs of all spaces and test basic functions.
- Maintain records of all pass/fail status and tickets; ensure resolution of any problems found.
- Support meeting room setups and ensure end users can operate equipment, including monitors, video conferencing, in-room cameras, microphones, and neat boards.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues, including cable replacements, power-cycles, component validation, AV component configurations, and part replacements.
- Build and maintain an inventory of all AV equipment for assigned locations.
- Monitor conference room health and recommend replacements or upgrades for ongoing failures.
- Maintain facility documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings to align on procedures, scheduling, and briefs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in audiovisual support, integration, meetings and events, or a similar field.
- Audiovisual troubleshooting knowledge.
- Intermediate PC troubleshooting knowledge.
- Understanding of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control.
- Ability to perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for audio visual technologies.
- Ability to read and utilize blueprints and audio/video flow diagrams.
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting to diagnose static and dynamic IP addresses.
- Strong communication skills with employees, customers, and colleagues.
- Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude during high-pressure situations.
- Strong work ethic, self-direction, self-motivation, patience, persistence, and perspective.
- Excellent collaboration and customer relationship skills with an emphasis on white-glove service.
- Ability to work and think independently and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work after hours and weekends when required.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Travel required based on production and service needs, including client and AVI-SPL offices.
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and perform overhead work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Studio production and event experience.
- Experience with control room equipment, including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and video playback software.
- Experience with Extron systems.
- Certification and training with CTS, Networking, and other Audio-Video training.
