AV Design Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring an AV Engineer to primarily support a team of engineers in the McLean, Virginia area or with relocation to Stuttgart, Germany. This role requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create drawing packages and bill of materials in CAD.
• Design and test complex videoconferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies, including A/V-based collaboration technologies.
• Design audio/video systems with Crestron, AMX, and Extron control systems.
• Conduct customer site surveys and provide sales engineering support.
• Occasionally assist the installation team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• Experience developing and implementing hardware and software solutions for data center and virtual infrastructure technologies.
• Demonstrated experience developing cost estimates and work breakdown structures for complex projects.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• Familiarity with IT, telecommunications, A/V, and electrical equipment, including related materials and specifications.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.

Pay

Salary range: $100,000 – $130,000, depending on experience.
