AV Apprentice Technician

About the role

HEDSouth is seeking an aspiring Low-Voltage Technician to join their team. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining low-voltage systems in both commercial and residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Pull, Terminate, Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron)
• Mount Devices at the Ends of Those Wires (AV/Network/Control/Lighting/Shading)
• Build and Lace Equipment Racks
• Setup and Configure Devices
• Understand Networks
• Troubleshoot Devices
• Eventually Program (Lutron/C4/Savant/Crestron)

Requirements

• An Interest in Commercial and/or Residential AV & Low-Voltage (Wiring & Installation)
• Familiarity with Networking
• Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation

Qualifications

Must be available for in-person work at 2010 Thomas St, Hollywood, FL 33020, Monday to Friday from 7:30am-5:00pm.

Skills

Technically inclined and always curious about how things work.
