About the role
We are looking for technicians/mechanics who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we seek must be solution-oriented with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our guests. We are a full-service facility and welcome technicians of all experience levels. Our compensation program consists of a blend of guaranteed hourly pay plus performance incentives.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles using your knowledge and skills
- Build experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
- Perform full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Collaborate with the service department and communicate guest concerns effectively
- Work with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results
Requirements
- Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests
- 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
- MI state certifications required; ASE Certifications preferred
- Preference for Master Technician applicants
- Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Professional appearance and strong communication
- Desire for long-term career development
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
- Work with tools on vehicles lifted above your head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair
- Dexterity to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
- Drive manual transmission vehicles
- Efficiently navigate a computer
