Automotive Technician / Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking an Automotive Technician / Mechanic to diagnose and repair a variety of domestic and foreign vehicles in a modern, state-of-the-art facility. Key responsibilities include conducting thorough courtesy vehicle inspections, troubleshooting customer concerns efficiently, and collaborating with team members to meet high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization. Effective communication with the service department is essential to address customer needs and ensure quality service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a variety of domestic and foreign vehicles
• Conduct thorough courtesy vehicle inspections
• Troubleshoot customer concerns efficiently
• Collaborate with team members to meet high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Communicate effectively with the service department to address customer needs

Qualifications

• Positive attitude with a guest-focused approach
• 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
• ASE certifications preferred or a plan to obtain them
• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing all vehicle makes and models
• Ability to meet or exceed hourly goals
• Strong communication skills and professional appearance
• Eagerness for long-term career growth

Physical Skills

• Ability to lift/move over 100 pounds occasionally
• Work comfortably with tools on vehicles above head level
• Navigate tight spaces and work efficiently with hand tools
• Walk and stand throughout the workday
• Drive manual transmission vehicles
• Use a computer effectively
