Automotive Technician
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vehicle inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, suspension systems, heating/AC systems, and electrical components.
- Carry out routine maintenance services including oil changes, fluid checks, brake services, tire rotations, and alignments.
- Use diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and service manuals to determine repair strategies.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all repairs meet dealership, manufacturer, and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, and shop safety procedures.
- Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure optimal performance.
Customer Service & Documentation
- Clearly communicate repair needs and findings to service advisors.
- Document all work performed in accordance with shop and manufacturer requirements.
- Provide honest, accurate recommendations for preventive maintenance and necessary repairs.
