Automotive Store Manager

About the role

We're seeking a qualified Store Manager in the Newburgh area. A friendly, customer-focused attitude is a must. Our customers have choices, and we win their business with a combination of a great selection, low prices, and outstanding customer service. As a Plaza Tire Store Manager, you will be the face of the company – leading a group of employees and working directly with customers who need tires, routine maintenance, and other services. While previous automotive experience is a plus, it is not a requirement. A proven track record in sales and management is necessary. We will train the right person for the position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding customer service by maintaining store standards, solid product knowledge, conducting call-backs, and meeting time commitments.
• Handle escalated customer complaints.
• Set expectations and communicate regularly with employees on job responsibilities, goals, training, development, and overall customer service.
• Hold management team accountable for job responsibilities, training, and goals through coaching or counseling employees toward desired behaviors.
• Lead by example; ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures through regular meetings with employees and store audits.
• Conduct performance evaluations for all employees at regular intervals.
• Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed sales and profit targets as provided in the Store Margin Statement.
• Write up customers in POS system and answer phone calls.
• Maintain inventory control.

Requirements

• Possess a current, valid driver’s license.
• Five or more years of sales experience in an auto repair shop management position or equivalent business experience in the automotive industry.
• Previous experience in managing and coaching team members to success through effective communication; business development and strategy implementation knowledge.
• Proven ability to develop and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual plans with clearly defined goals.
• Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals.
• Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or similar position preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.

Pay

$90,000–120,000 per year including salary and bonus.
