Automotive Store Manager

About the role

As a Store Manager, you will be the face of Plaza Tire in the Newburgh area, leading a team and delivering outstanding customer service to clients who need tires, routine maintenance, and other automotive services. While automotive experience is a plus, it is not required—we will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every customer receives exceptional service by maintaining store standards, reinforcing product knowledge, conducting follow-up calls, and meeting time commitments.
• Handle escalated customer complaints professionally.
• Set clear expectations, communicate job responsibilities, goals, and training needs, and hold the management team accountable through coaching and feedback.
• Lead by example and ensure compliance with company policies through regular team meetings and store audits.
• Conduct performance evaluations for all employees at regular intervals.
• Analyze business trends, develop sales strategies, and implement plans to meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
• Process customer transactions in the POS system and handle phone inquiries.
• Maintain inventory control and accuracy.

Requirements

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Five or more years of sales experience in an auto repair shop management role or equivalent business experience in the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to manage and coach team members through effective communication and business strategy implementation.
• Track record of developing and meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual plans with clearly defined goals.
• Consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales and profit targets.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays.

Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role is preferred but not required.

Pay

$90,000–120,000 per year, including salary and bonus.
