About the Role
Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a motivated and experienced Automotive Shop Manager to lead overall store performance, both financial and operational. This role involves establishing and maintaining guest services, overseeing market operations, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through expense control, human resource management, and managing operating costs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure outstanding customer service by maintaining store standards, solid product knowledge, conducting call backs, meeting time commitments, and handling escalated customer complaints.
- Set expectations and communicate regularly with employees on job responsibilities, goals, training, development, and customer service; hold management team accountable through coaching and counseling.
- Lead by example and ensure compliance with all company policies through regular meetings, store audits, and performance evaluations for all employees.
- Analyze business trends, develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed Sales and Profit targets; share financial targets and results with employees.
- Review invoices and daily reports to identify growth opportunities; maintain controls over physical and financial assets.
- Follow standard closing procedures including timely deposit of checks and cash.
- Ensure store cleanliness (front and back) and maintain "Best in class" housekeeping and merchandising standards.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and request maintenance as needed; ensure timely return of unused parts to vendors and proper credit processing.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of sales experience in an auto repair shop management position or equivalent business experience in the automotive industry.
- Previous experience managing and coaching team members through effective communication, business development, and strategy implementation.
- Proven ability to develop and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual plans with clearly defined goals.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or similar position preferred, but not required.
