About the role
The General Service Technician performs non-technical automotive services such as oil changes, tire mounting, balancing, and rotations. They assist with customer transportation, parts pickup, and shop maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct basic services following manager instructions and document vehicle conditions.
- Maintain a clean shop environment and operate company vehicles safely.
- Transport customers and pick up parts as needed.
- Perform safety and emission inspections per guidelines.
- Observe vehicle conditions for repairs or safety concerns.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid, clean driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
- Basic understanding of mechanical components.
- Ability to work at least five days a week, including weekends.
Physical & Working Conditions
Must stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds. Work environment may include loud noises, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures. Physical dexterity, vision, hearing, and mobility are required.
