Responsibilities

  • Focuses on purely mechanical repair and diagnostics.
  • Perform heavy-line repair services, including engine and transmission work.
  • C Conduct complex drivability diagnostics and repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair intricate electrical systems.
  • Perform full diagnostics and repairs on auto HVAC systems.
  • Complete in-depth maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
  • Service heavy-duty braking systems and heavy-duty steering and suspension systems.
  • Perform precise vehicle alignments.
  • Handle welding and exhaust repair tasks as needed.
  • Conduct detailed multi-point inspections to identify all necessary repairs.
  • Perform vehicle upfitting and modification for special projects.
  • Examine customer vehicles to identify necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Document all services performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Effectively utilize available technologies to diagnose and repair vehicles.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Participate in required training to stay current with new technology.
  • Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of job experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
  • Diesel engine training & experience.
  • Must have most tools to complete jobs.

Pay

Pay rate depends on several factors, including but not limited to: licenses, certifications, training, skills, and experience.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Physical Demands

  • May work indoors or outdoors, but more commonly work indoors.
  • Are often exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment that result in cuts, bruises, or minor burns.
  • Work inside enclosed vehicles, such as buses and vans.
  • Often working in cramped workspaces underneath vehicles that require getting into awkward positions.
  • Regularly wear protective gear, such as goggles or earplugs.
  • Exposed to contaminants, such as antifreeze and chemical degreasers, on a daily basis.
  • Exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable on a daily basis.
  • Stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.
  • Lift or move products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
