Responsibilities

  • Testing to check whether systems and components are working properly
  • Isolating the systems or components that might have caused a problem
  • Consulting with the Shop Foreman or Service Manager on all NPF situations
  • Driving the vehicle for testing purposes or using various equipment
  • Maintaining efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
  • Repairing or replacing worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
  • Following a checklist in ensuring that each critical part of the vehicle is examined
  • Clearly recording the repairs that were needed, the work that was performed, and conditions that could not be duplicated on the repair order
  • Able to clearly explain the value of keeping the vehicle serviced as needed
  • Maintain meeting or exceeding the dealership’s requirements for a technician’s efficiency, productivity, and proficiency
  • Attend all required dealership and brand training sessions
  • Always speak in a positive manner when discussing BMW, MINI Cooper, the dealership, fellow employees, or dealership policies when communicating with the customer or their representatives
  • Knows and follows all federal, state, and local laws that govern automobile repair

Requirements

  • Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Clear focus on delivering work of the highest quality
  • You must provide your own tools
  • Valid Driver’s License (Required by all applicants)
  • Criminal Background Check
  • 18 years or Older
  • Must have valid State Inspection and Emissions Licenses
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook
  • Able to effectively work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful, atmosphere
  • Mature, honest, reliable, and credible
  • Demonstrating superior ethical standards

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required
  • B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
