Automotive Service Technician

About the role

Tire Discounters, the nation's largest family-owned and operated tire & service business, seeks a Service Technician to join their team. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow within a supportive and diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs various automotive services, including tire installation and maintenance, steering and suspension, alignments, brakes, engine diagnostic, drivability, and preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance services.
• Ensures accurate and timely quality vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Test drives vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality and overall safety.
• Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Fosters a collaborative team environment and assists as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive repair experience (ASE certifications preferred but not required).
• Owns necessary tools (tool purchase program available).
• Operates automotive vehicle lifts, shop tools and equipment (diagnostic scanner experience a plus).
• Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and availability to work Saturdays.
• Comfortable with occasional exposure to mechanical hazards and outdoor conditions.
• Authorized to work in the USA (18+).

$50,000 - $175,000+ annually (hourly + commission).
