Automotive Service Technician

About the role

Findlay Automotive is expanding its technician staff to meet the demands of its growing customer base. Located in the Southwest United States, the company is one of the fastest-growing auto groups. Their new facility includes an A/C cooled shop, a technician lounge/lunch room, and advanced Hunter equipment like a fully automated service drive alignment check system.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership guidelines
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers about any additional service needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• Certifications a plus
• Strong teamwork skills
• Positive attitude
• Valid in-state driver's license and automobile insurance
• Clean driving record
• Pass a pre-employment screening and Background check
