About the role

The Service Porter position at LaFontaine Automotive Group involves maintaining a clean and organized service vehicle area. This role requires a current, valid driver's license with a satisfactory MVR, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Keep the service vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by management.
• Cleaning the service department drive, write-up area, and shop.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles, including trunks and glove compartments.
• Wash service customer vehicles using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Apply special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials, following manufacturer recommendations.
• Assist technicians with keeping the service department clean and organized.
• Assist with property maintenance and appearance.
• Greet customers immediately in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Complete all training as directed by supervisor.
• Police grounds of the dealership.
• Wear company-approved uniform.
• Park vehicles from service.
• Empty trash.
• Drive shuttle.
• Complete OSHA right-to-know training.
• Follow policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license with a satisfactory MVR.
• Ability to complete tasks on one's own and with a team.
• Good work ethic, organized, and positive attitude.
• No retail experience necessary.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is nice to have, but not required.
