Automotive Repair Center Manager
About the Role
Develop strategic and tactical plans for business expansion, including preparing annual budgets and business plans, financial, market, and business analysis. Execute behavioral tactics to achieve established goals and work closely with Emergency Road Service and AAA Managers to support repair operations. Partner with leadership to develop marketing campaigns, promotional copy, and track success. Collaborate with other lines of business to maximize exposure and support cross-sell opportunities. Plan, recruit, and select talent, providing leadership through coaching and mentoring. Conduct performance evaluations and champion team member engagement. Manage profit and loss statements, drive results, review metrics, and oversee large vendor relationships and commercial business offers.
Responsibilities

- Provide active, engaged leadership through behavioral coaching and mentoring.
- Conduct performance evaluations and performance management activities.
- Champion team member engagement, ensuring all team members understand their work’s connection to corporate strategy.
- Manage profit and loss statements and drive results through metrics review.
- Oversee large vendor relationships and commercial business offers.
Requirements
- Highly developed leadership skills and quantitative/analytical skills with a proven ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Change management skills and ability to operate in ambiguous environments.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across business units and functions.
- Financial management experience, proficient math skills, and adept at statistical analysis.
- Ability to write and execute business and financial plans.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Automotive/mechanical background (preferred).
- Ability to drive vehicles equipped with manual transmission (preferred).
- Knowledge of equipment/tool operation and diagnostic/repair procedures (preferred).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience in providing repair, maintenance, and/or emergency road services for passenger and/or commercial vehicles (preferred).
- 5+ years of management or leadership experience (may overlap with industry experience).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
- ASE Certification (preferred).
Working Environment
- Works outdoors at vehicle sites when servicing vehicles.
- Lifting and carrying tires and parts weighing up to 50 pounds several times a day; bending, kneeling, and stooping as required for service calls.
- Works in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Vehicle recovery sites may be wet, messy, and hazardous.
- Must provide a photograph for identification purposes.
