Duties
- Quality control review of automotive equipment
- Investigations related to automotive repairs
- Monitoring probation cases involving automotive repairs
- Providing training and guidance to field office staff
Requirements
- Valid California driver’s license (CDL)
- Medical clearance
- No revocation or suspension of departmental-issued licenses for Vehicle Safety Systems Inspection, Smog Technician, and/or Smog Inspector
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of equipment and methods used in the maintenance and repair of automotive equipment
- Ability to operate tools used in automotive repair
- Ability to inspect automotive equipment
- Ability to purchase parts and materials for automotive repairs
- Ability to keep accurate records of inventory
- Ability to reconcile and make reports related to automotive repairs
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
