Parts Advisors play an important role in keeping our dealerships moving — helping customers, supporting our Service and Parts teams, and making sure technicians have the right parts to get the job done. Responsibilities

  • Assist retail and wholesale customers with identifying and purchasing the correct parts
  • Recommend related or companion parts and accessories when appropriate
  • Answer phone calls and provide pricing, availability, and product information
  • Pull and prepare parts for customers, technicians, deliveries, and shipments
  • Check inventory and order parts that are not currently in stock
  • Assist Service Technicians in identifying and obtaining parts needed for repairs
  • Notify the appropriate team members and customers when special-ordered parts arrive
  • Assist outside sales representatives with orders and customer requests
  • Prepare daily parts for shipment, delivery, or customer pickup
  • Follow up on backorders and special orders
  • Solicit and maintain relationships with assigned wholesale accounts
  • Process parts returns and credits according to dealership procedures
  • Ensure proper documentation and authorization for charge and tax-exempt sales
  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to customers and dealership departments
  • Maintain accurate records and follow dealership processes
  • Replenish assigned inventory
  • Keep front and rear counter areas clean and organized
  • Assist with inventory and lost-sale tracking
  • Stay current on new products, parts, and product updates
  • Participate in dealership and manufacturer training programs
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Assist with local parts deliveries as a backup driver when needed

Requirements

  • Previous automotive parts department experience preferred
  • Previous Sales or Customer Service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and terminology
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customers and requests at the same time
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
