Automotive Painter - 1st Shift

About the role

As an Automotive Painter, you will be responsible for transforming raw truck components into finished, road-ready vehicles by applying high-quality paint finishes. Your duties include surface preparation, color application, and finishing to meet precise specifications, ensuring each vehicle is visually appealing and meets customer standards.

Responsibilities

• Paint various truck parts, including full bodies, chassis, cabs, trailers, and tractors.
• Operate painting tools such as cup guns, pressure pots, plural systems, and airless sprayers with confidence.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to ensure accuracy in paint application.
• Perform setup, routine maintenance, and safety checks on painting equipment.
• Handle hazardous waste properly and promote a safe, clean workspace.

Qualifications & Skills

• Auto body painting experience and ability to pass paint tests.
• Familiarity with paint tools and proper usage.
• Basic math and measurement skills, with the ability to read blueprints.
• Comfort with physical tasks such as standing, lifting up to 35 pounds, and working at heights.
• Previous manufacturing or truck body experience is advantageous.

This hands-on role requires standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and safety awareness in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Effective communication and teamwork are essential to maintain safety and quality standards.
