About the role

The Automotive Installation Technician role is initially a temporary, project-based position supporting a new client engagement. There may be opportunities for expansion in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Install client systems on commercial fleet vehicles according to approved SOPs and quality standards
  • Execute all installation steps accurately, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Maintain consistent cycle times aligned with production targets
  • Use tools and equipment properly and safely during all installation activities
  • Ensure installations meet defined quality standards and acceptance criteria
  • Support quality inspections and rework activities as needed
  • Follow safety procedures, including JHA and site safety guidelines
  • Retrieval and handling of materials from on-site storage
  • Verification of parts and kits prior to installation
  • Support basic vehicle readiness checks and flag issues
  • Record installation activities and required data using PAC digital tools
  • Provide feedback on installation process improvements
  • Support implementation of updated SOPs and best practices

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in automotive, mechanical, or installation-related roles
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work night shifts
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time across the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in vehicle upfitting, retrofits, or fleet installation programs
  • Familiarity with structured production or assembly environments
  • Basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting experience
