About the role

The Driver position at LaFontaine Automotive Group involves transporting company vehicles, documents, and supplies, running errands, picking up and delivering customers to and from the dealership, and performing various other related duties.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a passenger van safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to requests from dispatch or management for scheduled and unscheduled pick-ups or drop-offs.
  • Assist passengers in boarding and exiting the vehicle.
  • Inspect the exterior and interior of the vehicle at the start of each shift for proper functioning of lights, signals, brakes, interior courtesy lamps, air conditioning/heating, warning lamps, mirror adjustment, tire inflation, windshield wipers, vehicle damage, etc.
  • Ensure the vehicle is properly cleaned and refueled during each shift.
  • Accurately complete the driver sheet for each shift with relevant information.
  • Treat all guests, customers, and other persons courteously, professionally, and friendly.
  • Move vehicles throughout the dealership, between dealerships, and pick up customer vehicles.
  • Organize vehicle inventory around the dealership.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid driver's license.
  • Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good work ethic, organized, and positive attitude.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Physical stamina and strength to lift 40 pounds.
