About the Role

Envirotest is launching the Motorist Assistant Center, a new initiative seeking ASE-certified Master Diagnosticians to help motorists understand and resolve emissions-related vehicle concerns. This role offers a change of pace from traditional shop work while leveraging your diagnostic expertise in a customer-focused environment. As part of Envirotest, a subsidiary of Opus Inspection, you’ll contribute to a global mission of making the world cleaner and safer through innovative technology and operational excellence.

This position is based in Baltimore, MD, and includes travel to Envirotest stations throughout Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate vehicles to diagnose and troubleshoot emission-related malfunctions.
• Compile vehicle information needed for motorists and repair facilities to ensure proper repairs.
• Record vehicle test and diagnostic results, including OBD tests (MIL status, diagnostic trouble codes, readiness status, and other relevant data).
• Visually inspect vehicles presented for repair waivers to verify completion of repair work.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
• Familiarity with test equipment, including digital multimeters.
• Advanced understanding of electromechanical operation principles.
• Working understanding of pneumatics.
• ASE-certified Master Diagnostician.

Pay

$80,000 annually, plus a company-provided vehicle.
