Automotive Diagnostician - ASE Certified

Responsibilities

• Evaluate vehicles to diagnose and troubleshoot emission-related malfunctions.
• Compile vehicle information needed for motorists and repair facilities to ensure the motorists’ vehicles receive proper repairs.
• Record vehicle test and diagnostic results, including OBD tests, DTCs, readiness status, and other information to assist with vehicle repairs.
• Visually inspect vehicles presented for repair waivers to determine if the repair work has been completed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• ASE-certified Master Diagnostician.
• Experience in automotive diagnostics, preferably in an emissions-related setting.
• Knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
• Familiarity with test equipment, including digital multimeters.
• Advanced understanding of electromechanical operation.
• A working understanding of pneumatics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive diagnostics.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

$80,000 annually.

Schedule

Based out of Envirotest's Baltimore, MD headquarters with occasional travel to Envirotest stations throughout Maryland.
