Automotive Diagnostician - ASE Certified

Responsibilities

• Evaluate vehicles to diagnose and troubleshoot emission-related malfunctions.
• Compile vehicle information needed for motorists and repair facilities to ensure the motorists’ vehicles receive proper repairs.
• Record vehicle test and diagnostic results, including OBD tests, DTCs, readiness status, and other information to assist with vehicle repairs.
• Visually inspect vehicles presented for repair waivers to determine if the repair work has been completed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• ASE-certified Master Diagnosticians.
• Experience in automotive diagnostics.
• Knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
• Familiarity with test equipment, including digital multimeters.
• Advanced understanding of electromechanical operation.
• A working understanding of pneumatics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in automotive diagnostics.
• ASE certification in at least one category.

• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Outstanding customer service skills.

$80,000 annually.

Schedule

Based out of Envirotest’s Baltimore, MD headquarters with occasional travel to Envirotest stations throughout Maryland.
