Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - West Hattiesburg

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Part Time Automotive Detailer to join our team. This position is located at 6148 U.S. Highway 98 West, Hattiesburg, MS 39402, and involves washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles to meet our high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage and report any safety concerns
• Fuel and stage vehicle; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning interiors and exteriors of branch locations (e.g., desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot)
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years
• Candidates with more than 1 excessive speeding violation (26+ mph over the posted speed limit) in the past 3 years will be disqualified
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
• Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than 30 minutes from the location
• Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience

$15.00 per hour

• Sunday (Rotating): 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Monday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Thursday (Rotating): 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday (every other): 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Based on a 25-hour workweek.
