Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as an Automotive Detailer in the Wayne/Butler, NJ area. We have immediate openings for both part-time (25 hours/week) and full-time (40 hours/week) positions, with weekends required for all shifts. The starting pay is $17.50/hour, and employees can earn yearly merit increases based on performance.

About the role

As an Auto Detailer and Car Washer, you will lead our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone. You will be responsible for washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles—including cars, trucks, and vans—to meet our high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Enterprise Mobility is a leading provider of mobility solutions, owning and operating the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands. We offer extensive car rental, carsharing, truck rental, fleet management, retail car sales, and other transportation services.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
  • Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks.
  • Inspect vehicles for the following:
    • Fuel level and warning lights
    • Windshield damage
    • Customer items (place valuables in Lost & Found)
    • Registration (ensure it is present, current, and matches the license plate)
    • Fluid levels (add as needed)
    • Tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
    • Exterior damage
    • Safety concerns or warning lights
  • Fuel and stage vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
  • Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches.
  • Help maintain overall site appearance, including:
    • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and bathrooms
    • Vacuuming and sweeping the lot
    • Performing other miscellaneous tasks related to daily branch cleanliness
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license (ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential).
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Must live within a reasonable commute (no more than 1 hour) from the Wayne/Butler, NJ area.
  • At least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

New Jersey DMV Requirements: First-time drivers under 21 must complete the mandatory Graduated Driver License (GDL) program.
