Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Syracuse Airport - Full Time

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Automotive Detailer to join our team at the Syracuse International Airport (SYR) in Syracuse, NY. This full-time position is crucial to upholding our high cleanliness standards, ensuring vehicles meet exceptional safety and hygiene protocols for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, safety, and readiness:
  • Check fuel level, warning lights, and windshield for damage.
  • Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data.
  • Check for customer items and place valuables in Lost & Found.
  • Verify registration matches the license plate and is current.
  • Check fluid levels, tire condition, pressure, and tread depth.
  • Inspect exterior for damage and report any safety concerns.
• Fuel and stage vehicles for rental readiness.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and bathrooms.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and performing other miscellaneous cleaning tasks.
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record in the past 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Pay

$18.25 per hour.

Schedule

• Sunday–Thursday: 5:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Sunday–Wednesday: 5:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Thursday–Monday: 11:00 AM–8:00 PM

Consistent full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
