Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Prince Frederick

About the role

We are hiring for immediate openings as full-time Automotive Detailers at our Prince Frederick, MD location (520 Solomons Island Road N). This position is responsible for washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles—including cars, trucks, and vans—to meet high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals. You will lead our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior—including cars, vans, and trucks
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage and report any safety concerns
• Fuel and stage vehicle; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning interior and exterior branch areas (desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, etc.)
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
• Must pass a satisfactory background check, including driving record (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUI or DWI in the last 3 years), employment reference, education, and social security verification
• Under 25-minute commute (in rush hour traffic) from the location preferred
• At least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience

Pay

$18/hour, with potential yearly merit increases based on performance (based on a 40-hour work week).

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
