Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Fredericksburg

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Automotive Detailer to join our team at 4601 Lassen Lane, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. This is a full-time position with a consistent 40-hour work week and a starting pay of $18 per hour. Employees can earn yearly merit increases based on performance.

• Sunday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
• Monday: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Tuesday: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Wednesday: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Thursday: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks.
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage.
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data.
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found.
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth.
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage and report any safety concerns.
• Fuel and stage vehicle; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and other miscellaneous tasks.
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must pass a satisfactory background check, including driving record (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUI or DWI in the last 3 years), employment reference, education, and social security verification.
• Under 25-minute commute (in rush hour traffic) from the location preferred.
• Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• We will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as required by applicable law.
