Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as an Automotive Detailer in the Eastern Bergen County area. We have immediate openings for both part-time (25 hours/week) and full-time (40 hours/week) positions, with weekends required for all shifts.

About the role

As an Auto Detailer and Car Washer, you will lead our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone. You will wash, clean, sanitize, inspect, and prepare a variety of vehicles—including cars, trucks, and vans—to meet our high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Enterprise Mobility is a leading provider of mobility solutions, owning and operating the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands. We offer extensive car rental, carsharing, truck rental, fleet management, retail car sales, and other transportation services.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols
  • Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks
  • Inspect vehicles for fuel level, warning lights, windshield damage, and customer items; reset vehicle settings and verify registration
  • Check fluid levels, tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; inspect exteriors for damage
  • Fuel and stage vehicles; report any safety concerns or damage
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions
  • Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
  • Assist customers and transport them to/from branches as needed
  • Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning interiors/exteriors of branch locations (e.g., desktops, countertops, floors, bathrooms, lots)
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, and training
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license (ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Must live within a reasonable commute (no more than 1 hour) of the Eastern Bergen County location
  • At least six consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience
  • Minimum age of 18 years

First-time drivers under 21 must comply with New Jersey’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) program requirements.

Pay

Starting rate of $17.50/hour for a 25- or 40-hour workweek. Employees can earn yearly merit increases based on performance.

Schedule

  • Full-time: 40 hours/week with a consistent schedule
  • Part-time: 25 hours/week with flexible scheduling
  • Weekends required for all shifts
