Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Middlesex County

About the role

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as an Automotive Detailer. The position is located in Middlesex County, NJ, with full‑time and part‑time openings available.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry‑standard protocols
• Wash, clean and dry the vehicle's exterior (cars, vans, trucks)
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage; factory reset/restore vehicle setting to clear prior customer data; check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found; verify registration is present, current and matches license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition, pressure and tread depth; inspect vehicle exterior for damage
• Fuel and stage vehicle
• Inspect vehicle for safety concerns; report warning lights and/or vehicle/windshield/tire damage; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance including general cleaning of interior and exteriors of branch locations (desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, etc.)
• Seek to improve job performance through self‑assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted US driver's license (ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential)
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work‑authorization sponsorship
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Live within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour from the location
• At least six (6) consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience
• At least 18 years of age
• New Jersey DMV: first‑time drivers under 21 must complete the Graduated Driver License (GDL) program

Pay

Starting rate of pay is $17.50 per hour (based on a 25 or 40 hour workweek). Employees can earn yearly merit increases based on performance.

Schedule

Consistent schedule: full‑time 40 hours per week; part‑time 25 hours per week. Flexible schedules of up to 40 hours/week for full‑time and 25 hours/week for part‑time are available, and weekends are required for all shifts.
