Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Asheville Airport - Part Time

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as a part-time Automotive Detailer at our Asheville Airport location (61 Terminal Dr #1, Fletcher, NC 28732). This role upholds the highest cleanliness standards in the industry, ensuring vehicles meet exceptional safety and hygiene protocols for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks.
• Inspect vehicles for:
  • Fuel level and warning lights.
  • Windshield damage.
  • Customer items (place valuables in Lost & Found).
  • Registration (ensure it is current and matches the license plate).
  • Fluid levels (add as needed).
  • Tire condition, pressure, and tread depth.
  • Exterior damage.
  • Safety concerns or warning lights.
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data.
• Fuel and stage vehicles for rental readiness.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and bathrooms.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and other miscellaneous tasks.
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record in the past 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must live within a 45-minute commute of the Asheville Airport location.

Pay

Starting rate of $16.50 per hour.

Schedule

• Consistent 25-hour workweek.
• Sunday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
• Monday: OFF
• Tuesday: OFF
• Wednesday: OFF
• Thursday: OFF
• Friday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
• Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
