About the role
We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Part Time Automotive Detailer to join our team at Sault Ste Marie Airport (5019 W Airport Dr, Kincheloe, MI 49788). This position upholds the highest cleanliness standards in the industry, ensuring the health and safety of everyone by washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles for customer rentals.

Schedule
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
- Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior—including cars, vans, and trucks
- Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage
- Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
- Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found
- Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
- Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
- Inspect vehicle exterior for damage
- Fuel and stage vehicle
- Inspect vehicle for safety concerns; report warning lights or damage
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions
- Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
- Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
- Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning interiors and exteriors of branch locations
- Perform site appearance tasks: desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and other miscellaneous cleaning duties
- Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years
- No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
