Automotive Detailer - Car Sales - Charleston

About the role

The Car Sales Automotive Detailer will clean, sanitize, and refurbish used vehicles to prepare them for sale. You will ensure vehicles meet high cleanliness and safety standards while adhering to uniform, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols
• Polish, wax, and buff exteriors of cars, vans, and trucks
• Vacuum interiors, floors, seats, ashtrays, and trunks
• Shampoo and clean carpets, floor mats, and upholstery
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Use detail methods such as wet sand and clay bar
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Apply engine degreaser to engines
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies
• Exhibit a professional appearance and comply with all uniform requirements
• Adhere to local environmental regulations
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and temperatures, as well as in a typical office environment
• Improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
• Must not have any drug or alcohol-related convictions on MVR in the past 5 years
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future

Pay

$18.50 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Available shifts are Monday through Saturday between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
