Automotive Detailer

Copart, Inc., a technology leader and the premier online vehicle auction platform globally, connects vehicle sellers to over 750,000 buyers in more than 190 countries. We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Automotive Detailer to ensure vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, detailed, and prepared for presentation to potential buyers.

This position may require working in a variety of climates, including extreme heat or cold, as well as indoor and outdoor environments. Travel to DFW for training is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for auction by performing thorough cleaning and detailing services, including washing, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming interiors and exteriors.
• Clean and sanitize vehicle interiors, including upholstery, carpets, dashboards, and windows, using appropriate cleaning products and techniques.
• Wash and polish vehicle exteriors to remove dirt, grime, and debris, restoring shine and luster to paint surfaces.
• Perform paint correction and touch-up services to address minor imperfections, scratches, and blemishes.
• Provide additional detailing services such as engine bay cleaning, wheel and tire cleaning, and trim restoration.
• Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure vehicles meet Copart's standards for cleanliness and presentation.
• Coordinate with team members, including Vehicle Inspectors, Photographers, and Auction Coordinators, to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
• Follow safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in automotive detailing or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in automotive detailing, car washing, or related work preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive cleaning products, equipment, and techniques, including paint correction, waxing, and interior cleaning.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Pay

$21.05 - $23.71 per hour.
