We're offering $90,000 – $125,000 in base salary, plus performance-based bonus potential, depending on experience and qualifications. Why Make a Move? You'll have a direct impact on the dealership's financial performance and will work closely with ownership and senior dealership management. You'll be expected to know the numbers, identify issues, maintain strong controls, and provide leadership with accurate financial information they can use to run the business. Your Responsibilities: Direct all dealership accounting and financial operationsOwn the month-end and year-end closePrepare, review, and analyze dealership financial statementsManage manufacturer financial statement submissionsOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash managementManage vehicle inventory and floorplan accountingReconcile dealership accounts and investigate discrepanciesMonitor working capital and cash flowReview departmental financial performanceMaintain strong accounting controls and proceduresCoordinate manufacturer, audit, tax, and outside accounting requirementsLead, train, and develop the accounting teamPartner with the General Manager and ownership on financial performanceIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and profitability We're Looking for Someone Who: Has proven automotive dealership Comptroller experienceUnderstands dealership financial statements inside and outCan independently manage a dealership accounting departmentHas strong experience with month-end close and manufacturer reportingUnderstands floorplan, inventory, parts, service, F&I, and variable operations accountingIs comfortable communicating financial information to ownership and managementCan lead an accounting team while remaining hands-on when necessaryTakes accuracy, confidentiality, and accountability seriously Experience with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or other dealership accounting/DMS systems is also highly valued.
