About the role

King O’Rourke Cadillac Buick GMC, Long Island’s largest Cadillac, Buick & GMC dealer located on Route 347 in Smithtown, NY, is seeking an experienced Auto Biller for part‑time or full‑time employment. The dealership has been growing for nearly 50 years and offers a high‑volume, fast‑paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with new software to complete job duties in a fast‑paced environment.
• Backstop F&I and vet all deals.
• Verify interest rates, rebates, residuals, and VIN incentives.
• Process DMV within regulated time frames.
• Log information into VERIFY.
• Maintain up‑to‑date police, plate, and in‑transit books per NYS regulations.
• Ensure deal compliance before releasing DMV documents to sales/finance.
• Create an up‑to‑date DMV log of issues/concerns and missing documents.
• Submit check requests for DMV refunds to accounting with registration copy.
• Assist General Manager/Controller with DMV process as requested.
• Prepare paperwork for titling of new, used, and wholesale transactions.
• Ensure retail transactions are processed timely.
• Prepare tax and title documents.
• Prepare and submit all legal transfer documents to the state DMV.
• Provide additional administrative support as needed.
• Stay current with applicable laws.
• Contact banks to obtain lien releases.
• Apply for duplicate titles when needed.
• Check all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes before forwarding to accounting.
• Prepare and maintain trade‑in vehicle jackets.
• Follow up on all payoffs to ensure quick return of titles and lien releases.
• Maintain loaner and company vehicle titles.

Requirements

Strong DMV & Verify experience is required.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Reynolds & Reynolds / Ignite is a plus but not mandatory.

Skills

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Organization and follow‑up skills.
• Automotive billing experience.

Pay

$25/hr.++ (based on experience)
