Construction Billing Specialist

About the role

Waldinger is seeking a Construction Billing Specialist to join our team in La Vista, NE. In this role, you'll be a critical partner to our project teams, ensuring accurate billing, managing project financials, supporting collections efforts, and helping projects stay on track from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Project Accounting
  • Set up new projects and maintain project records throughout the project lifecycle
  • Process customer billings, change orders, and project-related accounting transactions
  • Support project managers with financial reporting and job management activities
• Accounts Receivable
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and proactively follow up on past-due accounts
  • Maintain timely collection efforts and accurate collection notes
  • Partner with management to identify accounts requiring external collection or lien actions
  • Help ensure healthy cash flow across assigned projects
• Accounts Payable
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AP-related questions on assigned projects
  • Process purchase orders, subcontractor invoices, and related documentation accurately and efficiently
• Contract Administration
  • Maintain project contracts, change orders, and supporting documentation
  • Ensure contract records are organized, complete, and up to date
• Administrative Support
  • Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed to help projects and teams succeed

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or related experience
• Construction industry experience preferred
• Associate's degree preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software systems
