About the role
The Ford Store San Leandro Dealership is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Business Office team in San Leandro, California.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the timely submission of payable invoices to the business office.
- Obtains proper approvals and attaches required supporting documentation before posting into accounting.
- Posts approved invoices into Reynolds & Reynolds on a daily basis, ensuring all expenses are recorded in the proper accounting period.
- Notifies management of any discrepancies that may occur.
- Maintains vendor account records, verifying that the statement balance and G/L balances agree, and documents discrepancies for submission to management.
- Creates new vendor records and ensures adherence to company guidelines.
- Properly identifies and maintains 1099 records for year-end reporting.
- Maintains petty cash records and notifies management of any shortages or irregularities.
- Processes invoices in a timely manner to avoid late fees, interest charges, or penalties.
- Remits payments promptly to capture vendor discounts.
- Generates expense details workbook for monthly review.
- Affords assistance with the reconciliation and posting of prepaid and accrual accounts.
- Posts and reconciles advertising expenses according to the advertising budget.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in Accounts Payable in an automotive dealership environment.
- Reynolds & Reynolds experience.
- Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
