Automotive Accounting Clerk

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Process vehicle deals and bank paperwork promptly, ensuring compliance with all company policies and state regulations.
• Post new and used vehicle sales into our accounting system.
• Verify vehicle costs, gross profit, and commission payouts for Sales Associates.
• Monitor contract-in-transit (CIT) and manage incoming funds from financial institutions.
• Handle warranty cancellations and submissions.
• Reconcile schedules and assist with month-end closing activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in automotive dealership accounting is highly preferred.
• Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Proficient with MS Excel/Word and experience with dealer management systems (DMS).
• Strong verbal and written skills for coordinating between sales, finance, and banks.
• Reliable, organized, and a positive team player.
