About the Role
We have openings for Automation Technicians to expand our efforts in the fast-paced, growing oil and gas market in the Permian Basin of West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, reliable, demonstrates a desire to learn, and is capable of adapting quickly across job functions and responsibilities. Projects include well-pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, compressor stations, salt-water disposals (SWDs), plants, and programming. We are looking for a candidate who wants to grow and advance within our business.
Responsibilities
- Write Totalflow programs, install, and set up Totalflow hardware (X series flow computers, G4 XRC, and XFC boards).
- Install and configure Ubiquity radios and cameras, including connecting radios to G4 boards and setting up communication.
- Program Red Lion HMIs.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install FW Murphy Centurion Compressor Control Panels.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install Plunger Lifts using Totalflows and Master Chief Control valves.
- Maintain and repair existing communication systems using Totalflow G4 XRC, Totalflow G4 XFC, Ubiquity Radios, Ubiquity Cameras, Red Lion HMIs, FW Murphy Centurion Compressor Control Panels, and Modbus addressing.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as an automation, instrumentation, or process controls technician or field engineer.
- Knowledge of Modbus communication protocols and addressing.
- Experience with Ubiquity radios and cameras.
- Experience with FW Murphy Centurion Compressor Control Panels.
Qualifications
- A 2-year associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, or Process Controls is preferred.
