About the role

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Automation Technical Professional with a strong background in Honeywell DCS & Triconex SIS to be based at our client in Borger, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in designing and implementing automation systems for oil & gas and process industry projects, engaging in all project phases from front-end engineering to commissioning.
  • Support site surveys, FATs, SATs, and commissioning activities, while reviewing project schedules and cost estimates.
  • Aid procurement with vendor lists, requisitions, and technical evaluations, and travel to customer locations for project implementation (25%)

Qualifications

  • Expected Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Electrical, Computers/Systems, or Mechatronics.
  • Must have between 10 and 15-years’ Automation experience.
  • Experience with an operating company, systems vendor, or engineering services provider for the onshore or offshore oil & gas and/or energy industry, is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) hardware, network architecture, integration, configuration and programming, industrial protocols, HMI Graphics and databases, and SCADA System configuration and installations.
  • Hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion/TDC DCS. Experience with PLC platforms (Triconex, Allen Bradley PLC, etc.) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of the principles of relational databases, application interfaces, and Human Machine Interface design and implementation.
  • Strong background and direct experience with multiple systems platforms, operating systems and the interactions between systems, system hardware and architecture.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, MS Teams, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, and vendors.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $165,000 USD.
