About the role
Full-time position available within the Engineering & Maintenance sub-department of Operations at Link Snacks. The company offers a competitive wage range of $31-$35 per hour, with a base wage of $26-$30 and a shift differential of $5.00.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate machines designed to perform tasks with minimal human intervention.
- Check meters and gauges to verify that machines work properly and analyze the results to ensure they meet company standards.
- Diagnose and resolve machine issues, often while processes continue to run.
- Prepare reports for managers and suggest upgrades or process changes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Report all accidents and deficiencies to the lead/foreman/supervisor.
- Ensure safety devices are installed and functioning correctly.
- Suggest improvements to enhance the quality of support activities.
- Adhere to all company personnel policies.
- Follow daily production schedules and contribute to achieving specified goals.
- Ensure products conform to specifications.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Use industrial programming skills to program, train, operate, and maintain automated equipment.
- Work independently with or without supervision, demonstrating solid follow-through.
- Have a proficient understanding of ladder logic programming.
- Update and maintain existing PLC/Controls systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Research and integrate new systems and/or technologies.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent).
- Proficient with industrial programming:
- Wonderware Software
- Allen Bradley (Logix 500, Logix, 5000, Studio 5000, Factory Talk ME)
- Bosch-Rexroth (Indra Works, Indra Logics)
- Programs will be dependent on the area you will work in.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience in automation.
- Robotics/Automation specialization and training.
Additional Information
- Physical Demands: Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and talk or hear. Occasional lifting and moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision.
- Work Environment: Food plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet/slippery floors. Travel may be required.
