About the role
Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment and instrumentation, as well as diagnosing and repairing problems with equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, machine setup, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and robotic equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic control system problems on production machinery, auxiliary equipment, and fixtures
- Plan, layout, and install electrical and pneumatic systems in support of the fabrication and installation of new equipment and fixtures
- Communicate and work cooperatively with fellow technicians and line associates
- Assist with set up and tear down of packaging line and changeover of automated pack station
- Daily housekeeping and 5S activities
- Follow all standard work procedures and safety procedures
- Wear/use all required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, mechanics gloves, and proper footwear
Requirements
- 3–5 years of job-related experience
- Able to read mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic, and pneumatic prints
- Knowledge and experience with Fanuc LRMate 200iD or similar Fanuc robotics systems
- Strong PLC experience required; experience with Allen Bradley RSLogix 500/5000 and Studio 5000 a plus
- Working knowledge of the current National Electric Code (NEC) is desirable
- Must be able to communicate well with others both verbally and in writing; experience in leading training of others a plus
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform duties within small areas, as small as 2 ft x 2 ft
- Lift Truck Certified (preferred but not necessary); if not certified, must become certified in a reasonable amount of time
- Must successfully complete Lock Out/Tag Out training within a reasonable amount of time
