What You'll Do

  • Sustain 24/7 production operations for high-volume automated manufacturing systems by rapidly diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control system failures to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Develop, debug, and document PLC code on Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix, and Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 platforms to control robots, conveyors, and third-party equipment
  • Program, teach, and commission industrial 6-axis robots including Fanuc, Kuka, Durr, Cartesian, and SCARA systems for complex multi-station automation tasks
  • Design and implement 2D and 3D vision systems for part detection, alignment, and quality verification in high-speed production environments
  • Lead the integration and calibration of gantry systems, including precision positioning, motion control, and synchronization with robotic and conveyor systems
  • Design and implement fixturing and calibration solutions using GD&T principles to ensure repeatability, accuracy, and process capability
  • Integrate and commission laser welding systems, with Trumpf experience preferred, including setup, parameter tuning, and process validation
  • Support and maintain mechanical press systems, including Kistler load cells and force monitoring, and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and servo-driven systems
  • Implement FDS) and Atlas Copco fastening systems, including tool calibration, process validation, and integration with PLC and HMI
  • Conduct formal risk assessments and implement ANSI/RIA R15.06 and OSHA-compliant safety systems, including light curtains, safety relays, emergency stops, and safe motion control

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in automation systems and electromechanical equipment within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience with Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 PLC platforms, including ladder logic, structured text, and integration with HMI/SCADA
  • Direct experience with gantry systems, including motion control, synchronization, and precision positioning
  • Hands-on experience with 2D and 3D vision systems for part detection, alignment, and quality inspection
  • Demonstrated experience in fixturing and calibration, including application of GD&T principles and tolerance analysis
  • Direct experience with laser welding systems, with Trumpf experience preferred, including process setup, parameter tuning, and integration
  • Experience working with mechanical press systems, including Kistler force measurement systems and load cell integration
  • Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and servo-driven systems in industrial automation
  • Direct experience with FDS and Atlas Copco fastening systems, including tool calibration, process validation, and PLC integration
