About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer III at Lozier is responsible for performing various functions on assigned projects, including defining the project, setting goals, and managing implementation. This role requires a strong problem-solving ability, leadership, and a commitment to Lozier’s mission, vision, and core values.

Responsibilities

  • Champion Lozier’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values by demonstrating the behaviors that contribute to Lozier’s success.
  • Successfully complete projects that are broad in nature, often defining the project, setting goals, and communicating the project to all affected parties.
  • Evaluate needs, analyze options, develop plans, and manage implementation of projects within the allotted time frame.
  • Assist, guide, and mentor other engineers and support personnel in complex technical matters as needed.
  • Develop, install, and maintain optimum processes for the safe manufacture of quality products in a productive manner.
  • Develop procedures and provide training on new processes, tools, and equipment, including defining Preventative and Predictive Maintenance requirements and mechanical evaluations of processes and equipment.
  • Coordinate successful corrections to production problems using sound manufacturing engineering problem-solving techniques and practices.
  • Develop alternate methods or processes to allow emergency continued production.
  • Evaluate alternate solutions using sound engineering economy techniques.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
  • Work and interact well with others.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor degree in engineering or another related field. Mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Required Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, good written and oral communications, excellent organizational skills, ability to make timely decisions, average to above average PC skills.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor degree in engineering or another related field. Mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good written and oral communications.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to make timely decisions.
  • Average to above average PC Skills.
  • Knowledge of machine programming systems.
  • Knowledge of the data systems.
