Automation Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Serve as the site expert for maintaining and optimizing automation systems and material handling equipment within a large-scale fulfillment environment.• Troubleshoot complex control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks, and electrical distribution systems to ensure operational reliability.• Analyze performance metrics and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements.• Provide technical support and first-level escalation guidance to site technicians for both local and remote system issues. What You'll Need • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related field, or at least 2 years of equivalent experience in PLC programming or automation engineering.• Proficiency in diagnosing and maintaining automated equipment, robotics, and control systems, including experience with Ladder Logic and structured programming.• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends, nights, or holidays to support continuous operations.
