Key Responsibilities
- Machine Design and Development: Design and develop custom automated machinery tailored for trading card manufacturing.
- Automation Controls: Create and implement automation control systems to optimize machine performance and ensure seamless operation.
- Communication Protocols: Develop and integrate communication protocols to ensure effective coordination between various machinery and systems.
- System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new machines into existing production lines and systems.
- Evaluation and Testing: Conduct thorough evaluations and testing of machine designs to ensure they meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide technical support for troubleshooting and maintaining automated machinery, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of machine designs, control systems, and communication protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in designing and developing automated machinery, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in automation control systems (e.g., PLC, HMI), and knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Custom Machinery: Familiarity with designing and developing custom-built machinery for specific applications.
- Leverage Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Software Skills: Experience with CAD software and automation design tools.
